Everyone else is doing it....
Sep. 10th, 2007 03:07 pmI didn't go to Maelstrom as I had work on, I gather enjoyment was had by various people though.
ephrael went, and picked up a pouch from Tim at Darkblade for me - for holding a Leatherman and my LED torch together (a custom design for me), it's a thing of beauty.
As goes work: the show was OK, but the run it was part of - through to the end of the Blackpool Illuminations Season at the end of October has been cancelled, so there's no more work coming from that angle. It's a shame really - it was an enjoyable show to work, and I'll miss the regular work from it (but I do now have a whole host of autumnal Saturdays free again!) I've got an interesting loadin/setup this week, for the International Beach Volleyball tournament in Blackpool. We'll see how that goes.
The work on NeMA is coming on well, although I managed to shear a bolt off while refitting the rocker assembly, but a new one is on its way here from John Craddock Ltd (an excellent source of Land Rover spares!), accompanied by the necessary outstanding gaskets so I should have her back on the road inside the next week.
And for now, ThatIsAll.
EDIT: Who is

NeMA's a 1979 Series 3 ex military land rover. It doesn't run very well but
Outside of LRP I'm a professional First Aider and I freelance as a techie for a sound & lighting hire company that specialises in theatre work around the Blackpool area. I'm always short on work (and thus funds), and the boss of the company is a bit of nob. There's never money in First Aid work.
