Here we go again,
Apr. 27th, 2007 12:44 amI'm getting a new phone. What phones suck and which are good? I'm a good contract for me, and can get more or less any phone I fancy - so post away, I just need ideas at to what to avoid, I think I know what I'm going for but if you all tell me it sucks I'll think again.
Also: Happy Birthdays to
Car: Still not good, likely to be blown head gasket, or worn out piston rings. Knackers.
Work: Waiting for news on something...

Date: 2007-04-27 12:30 am (UTC)- more ability to interact with PC for exchange of contact info and images
- likelihood of accessories existing for more than a nanosecond before the unit is discontinued!!
- better java uploadability.
There are some nice phones I've seen which are effectively PocketPCs with a phone in.
I bought my phone (an O2 X2i) hmmm is it only just over a year ago?
I do PAYG cos I don't use it much (comapred to other people).
The main feature was.. no, the MAIN feature is that is it s flip phone not a slide or flat unit.
The second main feature then was that it had bluetooth *and* if bought on the internet rather than walking into Currys' shop(!!) came with a free bluetooth headset.
Headset for use in car, plain & simple.
It also transpired that bluetooth was the only way to download any photos from it. See connectivity above.
It has a camera, I didn't care either way. I use the camera only to record things I want to remember rather than writing them down, like phone numbers on buildings or things in shops I want to remember.
Another impartant feature were the buttons - I wanted buttons that were separate and clicked well.
What do you use yours for? mine is for receiving calls sometimes and emergency calls out. I have a landline for ringing people which is a nicer phone. I send and receive some txts, but only perhaps a handful a week, on average.
Sometimes I give my mobile number rather than my landline number.
