Survived the 90mph plus winds, by staying inside - but my, does Blackpool Tower creak when the wind gets up! Car is working well, after attention to engine (coolant leak, easily fixed). Simon (LJnegative) helped.

New tabletop campagin about to begin - [livejournal.com profile] ephrael is running a 70's Americana thing she's made up, with 5 of us playing, should be good.

My recovery process is going well, just a little tenderness at the stitches (disovable type) so I'm now waiting for them to fall out.

I'm off LRPing for the weekend, not the M'froth player event actually, but something a little different with some MilSim Airsofters that [livejournal.com profile] chaotic_gent is introducing me too, so we'll see how that goes. If you need to get a hold of me - tough. Me & my phone are going to be a 'no signal at all' bit of the countryside, and it'll be off anyway. If it's urgent, try phoning [livejournal.com profile] ephrael, who's going to be at home (probrably eating chocolate and watching bad films). I might post a review when I get back on Sunday evening, then again I might not.

Laters all....

It runs down in Hereford way, load of blokes very into the military realism and special forces etc from what I gather.

This one seems to be more towards the LRPing, with ongoing plotlines, characterisation and the suchlike but a lot of it seems to be straight forwards skirmishing and airsofting.

I'm on the enemy forces crew for the weekend, it looks like it could be fun - I'll post details if it's worth it when I get back.

Could well be being run at spectre then

The site is great (played there twice) but i airsoft as well as larp and have been looking at the vaiability of combining the two for a linear system, but organising Serenity is taking top priority at the momment.

OK. Teh MilSim Airsoft game was run by Stirling Airsoft, as a part of their "AOW: All Out War" campaign - a realism based geo-political warfare MilSim set about 18months ahead of contemporary.

I don't know how open they are to new players, but ther have a forum at ASCUK which seems to be pagga for airsoft.

Crewing is provided by a different bunch, by the name of ETS (who I was with), who aim to add some interaction and roleplay to the MilSim in order to increase the experience for the Airsofters. They seem to be mainly LRPers who Airsoft, some of whom you'd probrably recognise from other LRP games.

Was fun as it goes - huge farm site (by LRP standards) on the Welsh border just outside Hereford, lots of shooting, a good bit of interaction, plenty of mud and cold and wind as well.
