Does anyone have a flame thrower?

No, seriously - does's anyone who's within easy reach of Preston have access to a method of projecting flames or fire for a couple of feet over few seconds duration?

I have this great idea for an icon (it involves the silvered, high-temperature fire-fighting suit I bought last year and some flames).

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Dude, I have fire extinguishers, copper pipe, fuel lines, blow torches and all the parts to make a flame thrower in my kitchen. Right now.

But I'm after one that's been made so I don't have to actually make one from scratch 'cos that's just a hassle for one photo.

That said - it could become my next project. What are you doing over the weekend?

You could always use a can of deodorant and a lighter... and yeah, it might blow up but hey, you'll be in a silvered, high-temperature fire-fighting suit!

Deodorant cans don't give a big enough flame really, but that's already the back up plan!
