It is apparently National Poetry week - people on my friends list say so, so it must be true.

I've always like this:

Cats Sleep Anywhere
Cats sleep anywhere, any table, any chair.
Top of piano, window-ledge, in the middle, on the edge.
Open drawer, empty shoe, anybodys lap will do.
Fitted in a cardboard box, in the cupboard with your frocks.
Anywhere! They don't care! Cats sleep anywhere.

Wasn't she the same lady who wrote 'Morning Has Broken', de rigeur with every school assembly?

Apparently she was - I didn't know that.
