Here we go again

So, where were we up to... ah yes.
NeMA is now running. Colin & Andrew for work. Anneliese & Alan for letting their respective boys out to play. Simon for running errands and shopping trips. None of these people have LJ.
She's had the head reconditioned and the valve guides renewed, new gaskets where it matters and the timing, tappets and mixture fettled. They may need more poking in a week or two, but I suspect not a lot.MostPretty much all of the credit for the intricate work goes to Dave, who knows vastly more about setting carburettors than I do.
As for work - well, yeah. I'd like some more of that, I've gained back some work on Saturday nights for a few weeks - North Pier Theatre again but for the 'Bring Me Sunshine' (Morecambe & Wise tribute) show. Hey, a gig's a gig, right?
I've got Artificer coming up, which I'll be at with a bit of crewing and first aid cover, then I might have some airsoft in November - with Vikings cancelled it's freed up a weekend to go shoot stuff... Then it's Riftworld in December (why am I playing in the winter?)
ephrael & I are off to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary on Sunday - with an autojumble in Huddersfield. Well, last year it was at Artificer, and the year before we went to Birmingham to watch
sarahlascelles &
areteus get married. I think in '04 we went to Battlehawk (WHUH!), '03 we got married and in '02 the first weekend we were engaged we spent 300 miles apart at separate events: Em at an Arcroc and me with
kol &
splinterclaw at 'The Domino Effect'. IIRC, it's also the anniversary for
richc &
ajon, and there's various other peoples who're also celebrating around the same time as well (
raselhague a few days ago).
Tomorrow could be interesting - we're off to learn welding, at Mysercough College (local agricultural college). 10 week course, so we should learn some actual skills - but no work requests yet, it may take a while. Anyone who's seen either of us try to do hand/eye co-ordination will understand why...
Also - managed a bit of a double win on the teeth front: a follow up appointment with Oral Surgery at Royal Preston (remember the nasty hole in my cheek last year? - yeah, that) has got me bumped up the waiting list to have the extraction done (advice, words of wisdom and notes on wisdom tooth extraction under general anaesthesia appreciated), and a trip into Wigan (pie central) has netted me a new NHS dentist (the one
ephraelhas been at for years, really nice) who put a temporary filling in (why the emergency dentist couldn't do this, I don't know), and all the pain has gone. Also, biting into a cardamom pod by accident the other day seems to have done something as well - intense pain for 30 seconds, and then not a lot else, but it's the temp filling that's impressed me the most.
And Sarahanne - if you're reading this, comment and say hi. We need to get back in touch - it's been too long. Over 11 years since the end of the course!
