Finally, it came through.

This afternoon I gained a piece of paper that I've been waiting for for several weeks - a letter from the consultant surgeon at Blackpool who performed my vasectomy back at the end of last year.

I'm sterile.

Celebrations are happening.

He has already done so. It is not the benefits of being sterile I need to be persuaded of. Its letting a surgeon anywhere near any part of my anatomy after the last debacle.

You might be lucky and get a bottom-of-the-class trainee surgeon. "Hmm, lots of tubes here, so lets try cutting..um..this one?"

The waiting list in Preston got so long it went over the limits, so they apparently palmed a load of us off to a private hospital in Blackpool (which is the next health authority over).

Pretty good actually, apart from taking forever to send my notes back to the NHS to be filed wih my records.
