Seriously, we knew about this sort of thing well over 20 years ago, when I was a small and VERY hyperactive child. I don't think there's ever been a time when reallyfrank hasn't known that I can't eat artificial colours.

It's also well documented what happens when the HyperactiveHospitalFairy (WINOLJ) has a blue slushie, and everyone's seen ephrael high as a kite on Haribo.
