ConQuest has now been cancelled, whilst our thanks go out to all those who attempted to help us build a convention for LRP in the UK we were unable to attract sufficient interest from atendees to make the event viable.

Anyone who has already booked will be sent a refund of their payments.

Been there, know what it's like.

Still think that a) cheaper venue and b) Dave's mouth should have been gaffa-ed shut (in the nicest possible way).

I'm not blaming anyone for its' failure, nor accepting any allegations of blame.

There's lessons to be remembered if (when) we try again, but that's all.

*Nods*

Comment about the gaffa was more about 'make sure right person in the right place at the start' than finger pointing, as on this, everyone involved deserves a hearty hug and a small round of applause.

Quite sad it didn't happen though.

This might be a silly idea but. . .

Rather than getting a proper con site, get a field. We are larpers, we are at home in the things.

Basiclly, it would be like maelstrom, except without the time in. Traders, talks, mini games (with linears in woods), etc. with people camping. Massively cheaper for everyone (no hotel bills) and no more roughing it than what most of it do anyway.

Genius! I love it! Do it in Middlewood, then I can sleep at home!

Wouldn't it be even more convenient if we held it in your back garden?

A field would be a great idea! The one thing that stopped me booking for ConQuest was the certain knowledge that even if I did get a lift there and back, I'd never be able to afford to stay over somewhere so far away...

That's just silly.

There's no nrealy enough room in my back garden...

Aye, I had similar thought after pagga.con. And it's how they did Lepracon.
