Doomed Bus.
Feb. 2nd, 2005 02:03 pmSo, I got into the doombus to drive to work this morning, and got it running with a bit of effort (thinking I must put this battery on charge and check my alternator).
I get about a mile and a hlaf out, and there's a large bang, a clattering noise and lots of crunchy. Booger.
I've been recovered home, and am consequently not at work (more booger, less cash) and the doom bus seems to be doomed. Preliminary investigation says it's not good.
For the record - Waypoint was enjoyable, fuel line cracked on the way in but fixed easily - don't think it's reated to this problem.
I think I'm going to have a look at prices for a new (2nd hand) engine of a more reliable type.
